Grandmother, Grandson Injured In Auto Accident

RALEIGH, N.C. — A grandmother and her grandson were seriously injured on Sunday when a utility truck ended up on their car's roof.

The flatbed truck was on

Perry Creek Road

by the WRAL Soccer Field when it crossed into on-coming traffic and hit the car head-on. The impact pushed the truck onto the car's roof, trapping the grandmother and her grandson inside.

Both are listed in stable condition at WakeMed. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Authorities have not said whether charges will be filed in the accident.
