2 Arrested in Robbery, Shooting Outside Cary Bank
Two people were arrested Thursday in Philadelphia and charged with a robbery at a Cary bank in which a woman was shot last month, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedTerrance Adam Lyles, 31, and Travis Monique Price, 24, both of 5400 Portree Place in Raleigh, had been sought in connection with a June 17 robbery outside a Bank of America branch on Southeast Maynard Road.
A 51-year-old woman, who hasn't been identified, was making a midday deposit in the after-hours depository slot that Sunday when a man approached her, police said. The man grabbed a bag of money and shot the woman in the stomach, they said said.
After the shooting, the man ran across the street and got into a red sedan with a New York license plate, police said.
Lyles is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, and Price is charged with being an accessory after the fact to robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Members of the U.S. Marshals Service's Violent Fugitive Task Force in Raleigh learned last week that the suspects were in Philadelphia area, and they contacted marshals in that city for assistance.
