New Hill Sewage Plant Ruling Could Come This Week

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A judge could decide by the end of the week about the future of a proposed sewer plant in a Wake County town.

Judge Robert Hobgood heard arguments from both sides of the debate on Tuesday.

Cary, Apex, Morrisville and Holly Springs want to build a new sewer plant in New Hill, but a New Hill community group is suing, arguing that the site selection was flawed and the town's ordinances were ignored.

The other cities and towns have asked that the lawsuit be dismissed.
