WRAL-TV Airs Lottery Drawings

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — When North Carolina begins drawing numbers for lottery games, viewers will find them on WRAL-TV.

On Tuesday, the state lottery commission voted unanimously for WRAL to produce and carry the lottery drawing. Two television stations bid on the contract.

The North Carolina lottery drawings will air during the 11 p.m. news beginning in the fall.

Lottery players will not have to wait that long, though, to start playing the numbers games. WRAL will begin airing the Powerball lottery on Wednesday and Saturday nights beginning on May 31, the day after they go on sale in North Carolina stores. The drawings air at 11 p.m., just before WRAL's News at 11.
