EUREKA, N.C. — Firefighters from a dozen agencies were battling a fire at a former school in Wayne County on Tuesday night.
A Wayne County deputy spotted flames at the old Eureka Elementary School off Main Street around 6:45 p.m. The school has been shut down for several years. There is no word on how this fire started, but no one has been reported as injured.
