Myspace.com Threat Leads To Extra Security At Durham School

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — Extra security is on hand at a Triangle high school.

Additional sheriff's deputies are patrolling Northern High School as a precaution. The move comes after administrators were made aware of a threat.

The principal told WRAL a student notified officers after reading about a threat against the school online.

Investigators say it was on a student's Myspace.com Web site.

Officers interviewed the senior, but they have not charged him. School officials said the boy is no longer at school.
