GM Renews License for NuTech Solutions Software

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — General Motors is renewing a license for software from Charlotte-based

NuTech Solutions

GM will utilize NuTech's ClearVu Remarketing solution to support used vehicle distribution. The contract last through 2008.

GM has used NuTech software since 2002 to help manage distribution of more than 500,000 vehicles a year. The software compiles various aspects of market intelligence, such as pricing and supply and demand curves, to help GM determine distribution of vehicles to auction locations.

"GM Remarketing relies on the daily distribution recommendations from ClearVu Remarketing to implement the most cost-effective logistics for our used vehicles," said Jeff Heichel, director of GM's Used Vehicle Activities. "Our license renewal with NuTech Solutions will enable us to continue delivering vehicles in an extremely dynamic environment quickly and effectively."
