'Robin Sage' Begins For Green Beret Hopefuls

Posted Updated

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Perhaps the most well known Special Forces training exercise is underway near Fort Bragg.

Robin Sage began Friday, and will run for two weeks. Green Beret hopefuls test their skills in 15 counties in the area. If they pass, they graduate from training.

Four years ago, a Moore County deputy shot two soldiers because he didn't know the training was going on. One soldier died in the incident. Afterward, Fort Bragg changed the way it notified local law enforcement agencies about the training.
