CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Quarterly losses increased $1 million at pharmaceutical firm

Pozen

, the company said Thursday.

Pozen (Nasdaq: POZN) lost $6.4 million, or 22 cents a share, up from $5.4 million for the same quarter in 2005. Revenues increased $100,000 to $2.2 million, but expenses jumped $1.4 million due primarily to a $1.9 million charge for non-cash stock-based compensation related to stock options and other stock-based awards.
