Three Arrested After Fayetteville Stabbing, Police Chase

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police arrested three people Wednesday afternoon in connection with a stabbing and a police chase.

Earlier Wednesday, authorities were dispatched to a residence on Miller Avenue where they found a person who had been stabbed. A short time later, police officers spotted a vehicle on Lydia Street that matched descriptions of one seen at the scene of the stabbing.

Authorities were able to identify the suspect and arrest him, but two women who were also in the vehicle sped away in the car and led police on a chase. Officers finally cornered them in their vehicle in the Three Colonies neighborhood and arrested them, but not before the driver tried to ram through the patrol car to try to escape.

No one was injured in the chase.

Police have not released the identities of the suspects or the stabbing victim. Charges are pending.
