Posted Updated

RALEIGH — Police continue to investigate a shooting death in downtown Raleigh.

Police have an arrest warrant for the person they believe shot and killed 20-year-old James Ruffin Tuesday morning.

Ruffin was found dead of a single gunshot wound in the yard of 214 E. Lee Street.

Officials say 35-year-old Sheila Ann Bryant of Raleigh shot Ruffin after an argument over drugs. Bryant lived at the house.

Police say she fled the scene shortly after the shooting. They have a warrant for her arrest and are charging her with murder.

No other charges are expected.
