JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — A Johnston County man is in jail, charged with attempted first-degree murder after a domestic dispute.
Deputies say Wallace Cooley punched his girlfriend in the face, dragged her outside their home, and doused her with gasoline.
He threatened to set her on fire, but did not do it.
Cooley is being held in jail without bond.
