RALEIGH — A Raleigh police officer who was shot five times over the weekend continues to improve, but remains hospitalized.
Corporal David Powell was shot early Sunday morning while he was working off-duty at a southeast Raleigh sports bar.
He is listed in satisfactory condition at WakeMed.
Custodio Ramirez was arrested in connection with the shooting.
