ANSON COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities say a Charlotte-area prison escapee may be on his way to the Triangle area.
Anson County authorities say that 51-year-old Theodore Worley escaped from the Anson correctional center late Thursday morning. Worley was serving a sentence on breaking and entering charges, and was scheduled to be released on June 17.
Area law enforcement is now on alert in case he turns up in the area.
