RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are not expected to file charges against a driver who hit and killed an elderly woman early Wednesday evening.
The accident happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Avent Ferry Road and Centennial Parkway. Raleigh police say the driver, Brandon Dale Norris, didn't see the woman when she stepped in front of his car. The victim, Mahasen Shalaby, lived nearby.
