Thunderbirds Highlight Weekend Air Show

POPE AIR FORCE BASE — Thousands of spectators will head to Pope Air Force Base this weekend for Freedom Fest 2001. One of the biggest draws for the air show will be the Air Force's air demonstration squadron

The Freedom Fest Air Show is free and open to the public at Pope Air Force Base. The Thunderbirds will fly both Saturday and Sunday at 4 p.m. You can also see a Pearl Harbor reenactment, demonstrations by Army attack helicopters and much more. Gates open at 9 a.m.
