Cyberlux Sells First Portable Lighting System to Air Force

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Cyberlux

, a developer of light-emitting diode technology and lighting systems, has sold its first portable lighting system to the United States Air Force.

The WatchDog Portable Covert Illumination System was developed in conjunction with the USAF's Air Mobility Battlelab.

Weighing less than 50 pounds including batteries, the system is designed to operate for several days on one charge. Requirements included the provision of visible lighting as well as infrared lighting compatible with night vision goggles.
