Student Elections Postponed At N.C. State

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Members of N.C. State's student government are going head to head with administrators.

Overnight, the electronic voting site for the 2006 spring elections was shut down.

Vice Chancellor Tom Stafford told the student newspaper an invalid ballot was submitted. It included names of part-time students even though Stafford said part-time students cannot run for office.

Students voted to keep part-time students on the ballot and reschedule the election to April 3 and 4.
