RALEIGH, N.C. — A new survey shows Wake County voters aren't likely to support a $1 billion school construction bond.
Now school board members are looking at ways to make the bond cheaper.
Some possible ideas from a committee today include reducing the square footage size of classrooms, eliminating middle school lockers and having high schools share stadium space.
The committee's full recommendations are expected by the end of April.
A bond amount is likely to be decided on by May.
