Raleigh police said Timothy Williams, 19, and James Lyons, 18, both freshmen at N.C. State, robbed people and shot at several vehicles in the early-morning hours of Feb. 23.
Both men were in the Wake County Jail under $5 million bond, but the judge agreed to lower Williams' bond to $2.5 million.
Although no one was seriously injured, one victim was grazed by a .32-caliber bullet that was fired into her car. Lindsey Ranck said the bullet hit her as she sped away after a man who tried to enter her vehicle.
Earlier in the morning, a group of friends wsa robbed at gunpoint from inside their vehicle on Hillsborough Street; and another group of friends was shot at, also.
Both Williams and Lyons face two counts of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill -- all felony charges.
Lyons, of Rocky Mount, has a brief criminal past -- one conviction for simple assault, court records show. Williams, of Louisburg, has no criminal record.
In all, the two got just $75 from their alleged crime spree, according to arrest warrants. Each could face more than 100 years in prison for the charges against them.
Their next court date is scheduled for April 19.
