Resignation Of Carrboro Fire Chief Now In Effect

CARRBORO, N.C. — On Wednesday, Carrboro officially cut ties with its troubled fire chief. Rodney Murray's resignation is in effect.

Murray has been in and out of jail for harassing his ex-girlfriend since Christmas Eve. He has been on medical leave, but was still employed as fire chief.

Now, his legal problems aren't over. There's a warrant out for his arrest. Police say Murray ignored a protection order by calling his ex.
