RALEIGH — The Carolina Power and Light Building -- the CP&L building -- is a familiar sight on the Raleigh skyline. On Monday, the structure got a new name.
The tower is now the Progress Energy Building. It is part of bigger changes that have come with the purchase of Florida Progress Corporation.
A new corporate logo was also unveiled. Progress Energy will make its headquarters in Raleigh.
The company will also change its ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange. The stock will trade under the letters PGN.
