FAYETTEVILLE — Southbound motorists on Interstate 95 may find themselves temporarily rerouted as they go through Cumberland County.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is closing the southbound lanes from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Exits 55 and 58.
Exit 55 is Murphy Road and exit 58 is U.S. 13.
The segment will be closed for five days.
Law enforcement officers will direct motorists to a detour route.
The closing is necessary to conduct bridge work over I-95 as part of the Fayetteville Outer Loop Project.
