Fayetteville Residents Want Police To Monitor Traffic Trouble Spot

People living on Hastings Drive say motorists are driving too fast down their street. Recently, neighbors petitioned the city to lower the speed limit from 35 to 25 miles per hour, but they say it has not made a difference.

"You can hear them as they come around the corner here," says neighbor Karen Roth-Roffy. "You can hear them as they hit the gas pedal and gunning it as they go by."

Starting next week, Fayetteville police will closely monitor the traffic in this neighborhood. It is part of the department's Neighborhood Impact Project.
