Fire Destroys Boardwalk At New Jersey Resort Town

NEW JERSEY — An early Tuesday morning fire destroyed part of a boardwalk in a New Jersey resort town.

Several stores in Wildwood Crest were gutted. However, the fire did spare a chapel.

No one was injured.

Businesses in the town at the southern tip of the state, rely on summer beach tourists to make money especially during Labor Day weekend. From staff and wire reports
