Events such as theState Gamesand the1999 Special Olympic World Special Gamesattract huge crowds and recognition for the area. Capitol Sports Marketing plans a major event by 2003 featuring multiple sports for adult participants.
"It would be something we would develop. We would own it," says Hill Carrow, president of Capitol Sports Marketing. "It would be something that would initially be in the Triangle and grow and perhaps be something that could move around the United States and go to other communities as well down the road."
The new company will also market teams and work with sponsors and other events.
