HOLLY SPRINGS — The new Holly Springs firing range is about to become more accessible to the people who paid to build it.
The Wake County Firearms Training Center has been open since January, but just for law officers. Last year, county staff members said it was too expensive to open the range to the public.
The county is hammering out a deal with the non-profit Sir Walter Gun Club to manage the range. The expect gun aficionados to flock to the range.
