WAKE FOREST — A Youngsville man has been charged with first-degree murder after he allegedly stabbed another man to death during a fight Friday night at the residence of the victim’s ex-girlfriend.

Wake Forest Police said Randy Mose Baker, 47, 1848 Moores Pond Road, Youngsville, was taken into custody shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday.

He is accused of stabbing Ernest John Bradshaw, IV, 33, 2107 Oak Grove Church Road, Wake Forest, in the chest with a kitchen knife during an altercation.

After being stabbed, Bradshaw drove to the Wake Forest Police Department and walked inside before collapsing to the floor. He was immediately transported to Wake Med in Raleigh where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Officials said the police department received an initial call about a disturbance at the residence of Leslie Moore, 837 East Wait Ave., at 11:45 p.m. Friday. When officers arrived at Moore’s residence, they searched the house and a short time later discovered Baker hiding outside.

According to witnesses, Baker and Bradshaw had been arguing over Moore. This argument led to an altercation that ended with the stabbing.

Police have recovered the knife they believe was used in the stabbing.

After being interviewed by investigators, Baker admitted to stabbing Bradshaw. Later, he was taken to the Wake County Public Safety Center, where he is being held without bond.

Baker’s first court appearance is scheduled for Monday morning in Wake County District Court.
