<b>CHATHAM COUNTY</b> — Officials believe a weekend drowning at  a Chatham County lake was accidental.

State parks officials say four-year-old Kevin Mason, of Fuquay-Varina, died Saturday morning after he hit his head and fell into the water while stepping off a dock.

Officials say the boy's parents noticed him missing while loading   a boat near the Seaforth boat ramp.

Rescue workers  searched for about twenty   minutes before finding him in the water.
