Total Sports
Total Sports hosts the official NCAA Tournament site. The people who work in downtown Raleigh have done lots of big projects, but this is a monster.
They've put lots of work into what you see online. There are stories about teams, the latest news and constantly updated scores. You'll find the brackets so you can follow your team.
You can follow the games live using their Cybercast or TotalCast features. I followed some of this afternoon's Carolina-Navy matchup by looking at pictures shot during the game and following the constantly updated play-by-play.
Lots of people are following this site and that could cause it to update slowly sometimes.
CBS Sportsline
CBS Sportsline is keeping up with the action too. If you're a big fan this is a good place to visit for stats and stories. Since CBS Sports carries the TV games you may find stuff here you won't find anywhere else.
WRAL OnLine
And, of course, a good starting place is WRAL Online. Click on the March MadNet icon and you'll find links to other sites for both the men's and women's NCAA Tournaments.
Web coverage of sports is improving but we still don't have full motion video and audio. Real Audio and other forms leave a lot to be desired. But when it comes to the NCAA, anything is better than nothing.
