The office is making it easier for residents and business owners in eight counties to apply for low-interest loans following damage caused by high winds and tornadoes earlier this month.
The SBA's Disaster Outreach center in Zebulon will be open daily except Sundays through May 9. Homes and businesses in Wake, Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Harnett, Johnston and Nash counties will be eligible to apply for the low-interest loans.
The SBA will offer loans of up to $200,000 to repair storm-damaged homes, $40,000 to replace personal property of homeowners and renters, and $1.5 million to repair real estate, machinery and equipment.
The April 15 storms caused more than $7.5 million in damage.
