Fayetteville St. Chandeliers On Hold Despite Arts Commission Support

RALEIGH, N.C. — A vote to put chandeliers on Fayetteville Street is on hold. Some city council members are worried the modern project won't fit with the more traditional Fayetteville Street.

On Tuesday, the Raleigh Arts Commission said it supports the $2 million public art project. Private donations would pay for it.
