Second Arrest Made in Connection with Nash County Killing

Posted Updated

ROCKY MOUNT — Nash County police have made a second arrest in connection with the shooting death of store-owner Millard Bone.

In custody is 19-year-old Patrick Jerome Harrington of Rocky Mount. He is expected to make his first court appearance early Friday afternoon.

Another man, 18-year-old Coby Thorne, has already been arrested in connection with that crime. Two sisters were arrested on charges related to another crime allegedly committed by Harrington and Thorne.

Bone was shot in his home in April and his store was robbed. Police say they got their first break when they realized the same weapon that killed Bone was also used to shoot a lock on the front door of Graham's Grocery in March
