Raleigh Web Site Helps Consumers 'Mix' Their Way To Success

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — A Raleigh entrepreneur has launched a Web site designed to make it easier for you to get what you want off the Internet. TheMixer.net will soon be a one-stop site for your daily needs.

TheMixer.net is a spinoff from ClearPrizm, a builder of software tools for the Internet. Fourteen people work in Raleigh and Charlotte offices building the site.

Membership is free. Using the many tools available, users can customize interest channels with topics such as health, finance and chats.

"The consumer will find this site very useful. There's a lot of informational sites out there," says Trey Jarmond, CEO of TheMixer.net. "We're the site that provides you with tools to use for everyday activity."

Calendars and other tools help you track activities and your lifestyle. The Web site will soon include a personalized feature called "My Mixer."

"We're going to have banks, brokerage, loans and insurance there as well. As a consumer, you can use it for day-to-day use," Jarmond says.

Businesses with Web sites can license the tools from TheMixer.net to use on their own sites. More channels are to be added in the future. Each can be personalized by users to meet their specific needs.

Jarmond plans a stock offering and hopes to open offices in New York and Washington, D.C.
