Small-business owners often do not have the luxury of providing computer training to their employees. In what they are calling their "Solutions for Small Businesses" tour,Microsoftcame to Fayetteville to offer free advice.
Gwen Holtsclaw knows the importance of having computers in her small Fayetteville business, Cheer LTD. She organizes cheerleading camps and competitions across the country. Keeping up with technology is the name of the game.
"We can operate more efficiently, with more cost efficiency, minimize our time and maximize our labor field," she says.
According to Microsoft, many small-business owners do not know what they have.
"We found over and over again people have software they are not using the full capabilities of," says Microsoft's Jennifer Turvold.
The software company is working with small-business owners and employees at no cost, teaching them more about the software already installed on their computers.
Microsoft is visiting 600 small- and medium-sized cities across the country. They are making 18 stops in North Carolina, including another seminar in Fayetteville, as well as stops in Goldsboro and Rocky Mount.
