Electrifier Network Offers a Fun, New Way To Communicate Online

DURHAM — With the help of a Durham company, there is now a new way to communicate with family and friends over the Internet. With a few easy steps, you can build TV-like visual stories that you can send to anyone.

The only things you need to make anElectrifier Networkshow are pictures, a few words,RealPlayer G2, which is free, and Internet access.

Electrifier says its network offers a complete Internet communication solution.

"We're able to take an individual through the entire communication process, from the original message, through the creation of the Electrifier show, to the showing of that show to whoever the audience may be," says marketing director Gray Norton.

With a few pointers, WRAL Technology ReporterTom Lawrencewas able to build a little show about his day at theState Fair. He chose a theme, which includes music, used pictures from WRAL OnLine, and followed the directions. He says the process is simple and very cool.

Electrifier is partnered withZing.Com-- one of the largest online photo sites, giving the Triangle company a boost.

"They have 700,000 members who are creating photos, and the Electrifier network fits right into Zing's community," says Chief Technolofy Officer Humayan Lari.

With wider acceptance of digital video, and faster Internet connections, users will also be able to plug video into the network.

Electrifier says it plans to grow quickly and become a major player in multimedia on the Internet.

Durham's Electrifier Software Company just won the "Best In Show" award fromUpside Magazinefor its Electrifier Network product.
