A 14-year-old Cumberland  County boy is dead after a Friday night argument over a necklace.

Witnesses told WRAL-TV5 News that Rodney Sams refused to give a gold  chain to another 14-year-old and the second teen fired several shots at Sams.

It occurred on South Dorchester Place, near Bunce Road.
