Two Moore County teens were killed and three others injured in a single car accident Monday night.
Seventeen-year-old Kristina Koffler (pictured, right) was driving when she apparently lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center line and crashed the car into a telephone pole.
The car was headed northbound away from Carthage on U.S. Highway 15-501 when the accident occurred just after 10 p.m.
The Highway Patrol says excessive speed may have been a factor.
Coffler and a passenger, 17-year-old Stephan Martin, were killed in the accident.
Two other passengers, Jason Pipkin and Timothy Reid remain in the intensive care unit at Moore Regional Hospital. A fourth passenger, Kevin Hall, was treated and released
