Durham Apartment Engulfed In Flames

DURHAM — March 23, 1996 - 12:52 p.m. EST

There were some tense moments early Saturday morning for Durham firefighters when a fire broke out at the Colony Manor apartment complex.

It started at about 4:30 a.m. in the complex off Rochelle Drive.

One apartment was completely engulfed in flames leaving its occupants homeless, but firefighters were able to prevent the blaze from spreading to other units.

There have been no reports of injuries, and firefighters haven't said what started the blaze
