You will not find many first holes that are tougher than the par 5 at Stoney Creek in Burlington.

"If you don't have a whole lot of confidence in your game, you probably want to ask the starter if you can start on Number 10," says course pro Dave Hardison.

What makes the layout so vicious are bunkers, trees, two ponds, a double dog-leg and length. From the back it is 580 yards and nearly impossible to reach in two.

"I don't know of anybody that's even hit this green from the back tee in two, in fact, Tiger Woods, come on out and try it," Hardison said.

Once, or if, you are in the fairway it is a good idea to ride on up to the crest of the hill before hitting a blind second shot.

"You've got the creek along the left and trees, you definitely don't want to go right because we've got all of these big rock over here," Hardison said.

Well, Jeff had to be polite and visit those rocks and trees. Trouble followed him all day long and he tripled.
