DURHAM — Last season, the Durham Dragons played in the first ever women's pro fast pitch softball league. This year, there's another first-- an all-star game. Four Durham Dragons will be there.

Andrea D'Innocenzo, Cindy Cohn, Jen Smith and Liz Mizera will all wear Durham colors next week at the first women's pro fast pitch all-star game.

"It's a great feeling, very much an honor definitely," Cohn admits. "I'm just ecstatic."

"You've got a lot of talent on this team," Smith explains, "more than people know, because we haven't put it together. But sending the four of us is definitely a good start."

The development of the all-star game is a testament on how the league is growing. The Dragons feel it's about time for a mid-summer classic.

"I think it's amazing," Mizera says. "One of the young girls asked `who made it last year,' and we didn't have one last year. Oh!"

"It shows that the level of talent in this league is just grown, and will be around for many years to come, I hope," D'Innocenzo explains.

Once the four Dragons get back from the all-star game, they'll focus in on winning a pennant. ESPN2 will cover the Durham Dragons on Monday, August 10th during their game against the Georgia Pride; and on Monday, August 17th during their game with the Carolina Diamonds.
