Bulls Face A Do or Die Situation in Championship

Posted Updated

DURHAM — The Durham Bulls are against the wall as they find themselves trailing Buffalo two games to one in the best of five series for the International League Championship.

They took the field at home Wednesday night for game three in a do or die situation. Durham buckled down and won the game with a final 9-8 score. Bufflo now leads the series 2-1.

Two years ago when the Bulls agreed to affiliate with Tampa Bay, no one knew what to expect in this first season.

Well, this season exceeded everyone's expectations as the Bulls dominated their division and went to the Championship Series.

However, the Bulls are facing an uphill battle in this series with Buffalo.

"We got our backs pinned to the wall," Bulls outfielder Greg Blosser said. "We're going to have to come out fighting no matter what. Every game is do or die. I think that we have the club that can do it. I hope we can do it for the home fans because they have been great all year."

No question, the DBAP has seen many Durham Bull's rallies. But, the Bulls have got to put the handcuffs on the Buffalo hitters, or else they will be putting a lock on the clubhouse door until next season.
