Authorities Search For Missing NCCU Assistant Professor
DURHAM, N.C. — A North Carolina Central University professor who was reported missing earlier this week has been found, the university said Wednesday afternoon.

Seong Hee Oak, 36 -- an assistant professor in the business department -- was found at Jamaica Hospital in Jamaica, N.Y. She is in good condition and has no injuries, the university said in a news release.

Oak was last seen leaving the university on Jan. 21 and missed every class since then.

Investigators found her car at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Tuesday and tracked her down in New York.

The university did not say why Oak was in New York.
