ZEBULON — The Carolina Mudcats returned home on Wednesday after a 12 game road trip to start the Southern League season.
The Cats said that it will be good to be home.
"I don't how many miles we covered, but it was a tough grueling road trip," Mudcats Manager Jeff Banister said. "I was hoping we would get home with 500 but we fell two short of that. Hopefully, a couple game we lost in the ninth inning we can win at home."
The Mudcats will host the Knoxville Smokies on Thursday.
The team is currently has five wins and seven loses.
