Langdon scored 23 points in Saturday's victory over Temple going 5-for-6 from 3-point range.
"I don't even want to think about the lows, it seems like it was a long time ago," Langdon said. "It was a lot of fun this weekend. I was just happy to be on the court contributing again. For me to get back out there and help the team and be successful, it was a great feeling."
Sunday with just under two minutes left, coach Mike Krzyzewski substituted for his senior captain. Coach K smiled from one ear to the other as he and Langdon embraced.
"My smile was the smile of Trajan, not my whole team," Krzyzewski said. "When I saw that kid, I just watched him walk off [the court]."
"I don't think I have ever seen him that excited since I've been here," Langdon said. "It was a great feeling to see him have a smile on his face, and it didn't look like it ever came off."
Krzyzewski looked at Langdon as part of a bridge around which Duke basketball has been rebuilt. Langdon's freshman year, Duke suffered through a 13-18 campaign. But like his foot injury, that seems like a long time ago.
Krzyzewski could not be happier that the Blue Devils' return to the Final Four comes at a time when Trajan Langdon is still part of the program.
