Annual Air Show Takes Flight Saturday

As many as 50,000 people are expected to attend. Think of it as a giant open house for taxpayers.

While this is a big event, not everything is big. The show is targeted towards families. Pint-sized planes are available for children. It is not often you will find a stealth fighter that works on pedal power!

"I remember being 12 years old and going to my first air show and I tell you, it makes a big impression when you come that young. Here I am today flying F-15's," says air show director Maj. Stephen Schwartz.

The air show runs until 4 p.m. Admission is free, but organizers are asking the public to bring non-perishable food items for flood victims down east.
