No Charges To Be Filed In Traffic Death Of UNC Professor

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Chapel Hill police say that no charges will be filed against the driver of a vehicle that struck a UNC professor on Wednesday evening.

Police say an investigation of the fatal collision, which occurred around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Fordham Boulevard and Manning Drive, has been completed. Police determined that the driver was not at fault in the accident that killed longtime psychology professor M. David Galinsky.

The investigation of another collision on Highway 54 Tuesday evening, in which a charter bus carrying the Boston College men's basketball team struck and killed a Carrboro bicyclist, has not yet been completed.
