Wilson Police Call Drowning Death Murder, Charge Durham Man

Posted Updated

WILSON — Police in Wilson say a drowning at the Buckhorn Reservoir last week was no accident.

A fisherman discovered the body of Roque Segura Perez Tolentino floating about 30 yards off shore.

At the time of the discovery last Thursday, police said the body had probably been in the reservoir for two days.

Wilson police have now arrested Victor Gonzalez of Durham and charged him with Tolentino's murder.

Officials says they will release more information on the case at a news conference later this morning.
