<b>DURHAM</b> — Motorists heading west on I-40 Tuesday  night and early Wednesday morning will encounter some delays.

The highway will be reduced to one lane from mile marker 275 to mile marker 277 near Fayetteville Road.

The lane will be closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday, weather permitting. It is part of a private developer's project to widen the Fayetteville Road bridge that crosses I-40.

Motorists are advised to watch for construction workers and heavy equipment in the work zone.
