FAYETTEVILLE — Traffic was backed up for more than four hours Sunday after two tractor-trailers collided along Interstate 95 in Cumberland County.
The accident happened about 1 p.m. just south of Fayetteville, leaving debris scattered across the northbound lanes.
TheState Highway Patrolsays one tractor trailer crossed the median, slamming into another 18-wheeler.
Three people were injured and were transported to cape Fear Valley Medical center for treatment. No word on the extent of those injuries.
A Florida truck driver is charged with careless and wreckless driving.
